On our long trip to Malita, Kuya A asked me "if you will be become a leader how will you address inefficient staff?".
Thinking about Kuya A's question and on the general context of efficiency, I honestly believe despite various changes (some are even forced) there are AIDS cases in the workplace. AIDS, as in "As If Doing Something" and sad thing is, some of these AIDS people were perceived as assets. Sometimes, I ask who really can tell that someone is an asset? And when can someone become an asset? Same with others, I may not be in the position to tell who can be an asset but I am sure educational background and work experience does not guarantee that someone will become one.
Because we were hired, we have the potential and that potential alone is more than enough to move us and decently earn what we enjoy. There are many people queuing for the post we now hold so if we are not willing to work then why not give them the chance? It may hurt but most of these people are even capable of doing more than what we can do. They are new breed who, aside from equipped with latest techniques are not afraid to try something new while most of us, seniors prefer our comfort zones. There is nothing anyone can not actually learn. Thus, there is nothing to feel high or low about.
