A client was inadvertently given by the developer a takeout date which was late than schedule and she had to counter sign the PDC dates she issued to avoid penalty charges. Instead of being thankful however, she came before 9AM today to nag Mae. She would have been among those "red-blood cells" clients (our code for those who are worth learning from), had she been humble but she went over board.
Complaining on time wasted for coming over to correct significant information and at same time making it known to the public "maayo unta kung plain housewife lang ko" was an awful act for an educator like her. First, a busy schedule inherent to being a career-person is a special gift that must be shared rather than something to be bragged about. Second, being a professional does not always mean being complete as a person just as being a housewife does not mean being a less person or a less woman.
Some career women think they have gone far. Maybe, they are right but if we come to look at it, being a housewife is never easy and it is also a call. In some countries, housekeeper (the best and most fair word) are even paid for the complexity of the role.
