Afraid of how much hurt love may bring, some people choose to keep a distance from reality without even knowing that the more they shield themselves, the more they become vulnerable. I believe this was one of the messages in the K-Series "When It's At Night". I like the story so much that I had to spend more than P500 for the bills at the cafe just to watch it thru you tube. I have no regrets especially that main cast include two of Korea's most talented stars (Lee Dong Gun and Kim Sun Ah) and the kissing scene made me crazy over Dong Gun.
Thinking about the story, it was kinda good associated with the thoughts of Michael Jackson's "Happy", the lyrics of that song goes this way:
Sadness had been close as my next of kin
Then happy came one day chased my blues away
My life began when happy smiled
Sweet, like candy to a child
Stay here and love me just a while
Let sadness see what happy does
Let happy be where sadness was
Happy, that's you
You made my life brand new
Lost as a little L'am
Till you came in
My life began when happy smiled
Sweet, like candy to a child
Stay here and love me just a while
Let sadness see what happy does
Let happy be where sadness was
Where have I been
What lifetime was I in
Suspended between time and space
Lonely until happy came smiling up at me
Sadness had no choice but to flee
I said a prayer so silently
Let sadness see what happy does
Let happy be where sadness was till now
"Love is a fearful thing but its from this which we fear about that we find strength" further taught by that K-Series.
Not everything may bring happiness but we can do a lot in every little thing that comes our way, including sadness. Running away from reality may for a while shield us from pain but this will only keep us farther from "HAPPY" (as meant by MJ's song) or KIM BUM SANG (Lee Dong Gun in that K-Series). Sometimes, HAPPY is just around the corner.
