I first met her more than ten years ago and she was intimidating. She didn't give me a friendly impression and as a matter of fact, it was my daughter who first discovered the sweet side of her. Kids really can tell.
Many times in our lives, we come across with individuals who at first encounter, they seem elite and uncomfortable to be with. The way they dress up, move, and even express their thoughts give an impression that they are beyond reach. You know, that common expression "mukha pa lang halata na" . This person I am referring to, is one of them.
She does not have that radiant smile for everyone though she can honestlly give a killer smile but she is warm and compassionate. (I remember how my daughter who was only five years old then described this) Oftentimes, she gives a "suplada" image but her deep concern about others are beyond compare. She exactly know when to say out loud something and what feelings to keep just by herself.
I do not exactly know who a friend is for her but I am sure she is one. No wonder there was this other beautiful soul who cried a lot before they got separated for overseas work. She is a real "social" - sure about herself so that she can be with others.
I admire her mom for guiding such a nice person. I learned they are each other's best friend. I count them among my inspirations.
