Over a cup of coffee, Meck and I discussed our disappointments on the remakes of Korean series. Korean dramas are appealing for reasons like - touching plotlines, educational experience about the culture, arts and beautiful places of South Korea and unique character definition which obviously does not sacrifice production's quality. Perhaps it is with this context that we, intelligent Filipinos can also come up with best and original series.
If we are serious in promoting Filipino values, culture and arts just like how Koreans do then we can surely come up with best Filipino series that may also warm the hearts of foreign audience. Meantime , waiting for that seriousness, I humbly admit my being discriminating. Adding to the inventory of best K-Series and movies I loved and which I posted last April 22 are the following:
The Vineyard Man, Taste Sweet Love, Witch Yoo Hee, Surgeon Bong Dal Hee, Bad Love,
One Fine Day, More than Blue, White Valentine, 18 vs. 29, Plum Blussom, Frozen Flower,
Winter Sonata, Addicted and Summer Scent.
Each of these K-Series is unique and very tempting to watch over and over again just like the way I did on the series of my favorites - Lee Dong Gun, Gong Yoo, Bae Yeong Joon, Kwon Sang Woo, Yoon Eun Hye, and Han Ji Hye.
