In an organization that is a little like showbiz and politics where there is no permanent buddy but only permanent interest, I doubt if a well discussed seminar on grievance machinery will make a difference. Employees may well know their right to express grievance but I got a feeling they will rather choose to blow their complaints outside proper forum because of fear that their complaints maybe taken against them.
It's always easy to imagine we can exercise our right but when we know that its the same people who are subject of our complaints are those who may have something to say during deliberation for promotion, can employees honestly say how they feel?
We spend more time in our workplace than with our individual families and so we claim that our colleagues are our family. But is spending more time with those whom we work with for a common goal suffice to claim we are family?
