I thought I was dreaming when I heard most of those who rediculed, spoke unpleasantly (even to the point of mad mouthing) about this particular Officer gave their testimonies with all those praises. Bwwwwwaaa! Except for a few whom I can attest never said anything bad against the Officer, I imagined I cut their privilige speech and remind the successors "listen carefully and discern from those who really speak". But that was of course only in my dream. My admired superiors were there and I respect them.
While enjoying with my imagination I was reminded of the lines from the song " Sounds of Silence, "people talking without speaking". It wasn't bad imagining how those whom I am referring to would blush, raise their eyebrows or even deny it. Come on! "magpakatotoo kayo noh!"
At the back of my mind, like a bida-contrabida scenario, that was interesting. Then it was another colleague's turn to give his testimonies. His opening remarks was like the lightning I was hoping for. I appreciate the way he stroke his words especially that meaningful joke, "Ngano karon lang man mo nagsulti?" That joke assured me, I can start become a lesser devil's advocate (though being full-pledged, is more fun).
More often than not, we are more interested to see, talk and hear about a person's imperfection. It is the truth that we try hard to deny. And because we do not want to get hurt being "truth hurts", we fake feelings and project as well-breed.
